To apply for Citizenship for children under 18 years old:
- you must be the child's parent, legal guardian or adoptive parent.
- the child must be a Permanent Resident, and
- one parent must be a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident applying to become a Canadian citizen at the same time.
* Only those who are 18 - 54 years old needs to take the citizenship test when they apply.
